Steve Bug to play Australian shows next month

- The Poker Flat boss will play gigs in Melbourne and Sydney on the first weekend of March.
- German house DJ and producer Steve Bug will be visiting Australia next month to play three sets in Melbourne and Sydney. With a career spanning more than two decades, Bug has is by now one of house music's most widely known figures. His Poker Flat label, established in 1998, has been a long-term home to artists like Trentemøller, Märtini Brös and Martin Landsky, with an array of associate labels pushing a wide range of house, techno and tech house. Last year the imprint released two compilations called Forward to the Past, in which Bug and a number of his favourite producers contributed '80s-inspired house and acid music in a nostalgic collection that pays homage to his early influences. Bug's first Australian visit since 2009 will include two parties over the first weekend of March. Melbourne will be first up on Friday the 2nd, where he will play at Brown Alley for an event by Smalltown and Electric Owl, with local DJs Lewie Day, Mike Callander and Mic Newman on support. Bug will play a four-hour set the following night at Chinese Laundry in Sydney. MYNC and Bella Sarris are among the supporting acts across two rooms. Bug will also be appearing at this year's Playground Weekender on Sunday the 4th of March.
