- The San Francisco producer has another album due out on Circus Company in May.
Marc Barrite, AKA Dave Aju, will release a new album called Heirlooms this April on Circus Company.
The new record comes nearly four years after the San Francisco producer's first LP, Open Wide. As some readers will remember, that one was made up entirely of sounds from Barrite's own mouth. Heirlooms follows a similar, if more conventional concept: all of the tracks sample records Barrite inherited from his father (hence the title). Some of his usual collaborators guest, including The Invisible Art Trio (from "Be Like The Sun") and The Sol Percussion Ensemble (from The Two Tone EP). Circus Company label mates Jaw (from dOP) and Guillaume & the Coutu Dumonts make contributions as well.
