  • Pépé Bradock will play at two parties in California later this month. The French DJ and producer doesn't make it stateside very often, with only a smattering of dates in 2011, but he'll make a trek out to the American West Coast later this month for gigs in San Francisco and Los Angeles. First up is the Bang The Box party at Monarch in San Francisco on June 15th, where Bradock will headline a bill supported by local Lance DeSardi, No Way Back resident Solar, and Bang The Box's Christian Mora. The next night he'll head south to Los Angeles for a Bump Sensibility night at an "undisclosed location" in downtown LA, also featuring DeSardi, plus a cast of locals that includes Santiago Salazar, resident Jaime G, and Bodyrock's Nef Nunez. Bradock has been active since the late nineties, releasing on labels like Kif and Versatile (including the '99 classic "Deep Burnt") before founding his own Atavisme imprint, which has released a host of his own original material since 2000. He's also an accomplished and respected remixer, compiling his work for other artists on 2009's Confiote De Bits. Tickets to the Bang the Box party are available here on RA.
