  • RA is ready to unveil its next series of worldwide events: RA Horizons. Last year's RA X series aimed for the most essential venues in many of the world's biggest electronic music hubs. RA Horizons has a different objective. This time we're focusing on dedicated scenes that exist outside the established global club circuit. Places with small but devout crowds, savvy promoters and great venues, but where you can't just stumble out the front door and see one of your favourite DJs every weekend. The goal is to bring artists to cities they've never been to before, and in the process highlight exceptional clubs and promoters that are doing big things on a local level. After all, these are the people that are really fighting the odds and forging new territory. The tour begins next month in China and Japan, where we've booked Levon Vincent for three consecutive events. The first is at Shelter, a converted bomb shelter deep underground that's Shanghai's main spot for esoteric club sounds. The next night the series wings its way over to Beijing for a party at Haze, the latest venture from legendary Chinese party crew White Rabbit. The first leg of the series wraps up on Sunday at Mago in Nagoya, Japan. Details on the lineups for the rest of the tour are still under wraps, but we can tell you a bit about the cities and the venues. In September we'll throw two parties in the Pacific Northwest; one at Open Studios, an intimate warehouse on the outskirts of Vancouver, and the other at Holocene, one of the best places to have a dance in Portland, Oregon. We'll be back in Europe on October 5th for a party in Aberdeen, Scotland with the city's insatiable Snafu crew. Next, we set up shop at one of Norway's main house and techno outposts: Jaeger in Oslo. We'll have further details on those in months ahead, along with info on more Horizons parties in Europe, South Africa and Latin America.
