- The duo will release their first album through Auxiliary this month.
Synkro and Bering Strait have collaborated under the name Kiyoko for an album release this month.
Synkro is a Manchester-based producer with a melodic style of drum & bass, dubstep, and everything in between, a wistful sound he showcased recently on his RA podcast. Bering Strait is his fellow associate Jack Lever, and Kiyoko marks the first time they've collaborated together. The duo will release an album called Sea of Trees through ASC's Auxiliary imprint later this month, a seven-track affair of entirely previously unreleased music. The label describes the album as "ambient/downtempo compositions made from old analog gear, circuit-bent toys and old crackling vinyl samples." True to form the music on Sea of Trees refuses easy genre classification, as with much of Synkro's recent work.
