  • Dark Sky are set to visit New Zealand and Australia for a two week tour starting June 29th. The three-piece outfit from London have made big strides since their first record back in 2010. Their productions, which RA's Stephen Worthy described as being at the point "where bass, UK funky, dubstep, techno and 2-step meet", have seen their music released on labels like 50 Weapons, Ninja Tune and Black Acre, the latter being responsible for their most recent effort, the warmly received Black Rainbows. Dark Sky's rapidly growing popularity in their relatively brief time together has resulted in the group being invited to play shows from Russia to Berlin. This will, in fact, be their second trip to Australia in less than twelve months. Dark Sky's five-show haul begins in Auckland on June 29th, where the trio will play a Few Chur Lab party at Ink Bar. The following night they hit Melbourne's Laundry Bar, before starting a three-gig weekend at Cuckoo Bar in Adelaide on July 5th. They'll perform at an ICSSC event held at The Bird in Perth on the 6th, before concluding the tour on the 7th in Sydney at One22 where Astral People will enlist Kato and Preacha as local supports.
