Joe Claussell and others make up the Norwegian artist's ensemble. Ashley Beedle and Alex Barck (of Jazzanova) will DJ.
Norwegian pianist Bugge Wesseltoft will play live with an ensemble (Bugge 'n' Friends) on July 12th at Oval Space in London.
Wesseltoft has long been fascinated with the possibilities of jazz and electronic crossover, beginning with his '96 album New Conception Of Jazz and culminating last year in a collaborative album with Henrik Schwarz. For his upcoming London gig he'll play grand piano, rhodes, and synthesizer opposite New York veteran Joe Claussell (of the esteemed Body & Soul crew), who will provide electronic sounds and percussion, plus a handful of musicians playing more traditional jazz instruments (trumpet, saxophone, bass and drums). The night will also feature DJ sets from Ashley Beedle and Jazzanova member Alex Barck.
Tickets to Bugge 'n' Friends live are available here on RA.
