- A new house and techno night begins in Toronto this weekend.
- A new Toronto party called How Does It Make You Feel will throw its first event this Saturday, September 8th. The series is a venture by Toronto locals David Patterson and Michael Krochak, with some assistance from Kevin McPhee, recently profiled in our piece about Toronto's burgeoning underground. A sort of back-to-basics affair looking to the rave scene of the past for inspiration, HDIMYF bears a lengthy manifesto stating that "it's not about popping bottles, its about playing records and being a part of a moment in time... you can only be a part of at that time and place." The event will take place at a secret, to-be-announced location with a limited and intimate capacity. The flyer promises "warehouse techno" with no guest list, and in true Berghain style, any and all photography is prohibited. McPhee, whose music the manifesto states is instilled with the values core to HDIMYF, will play the first party along with organizers Patterson and Krochak. Future events will be sporadically planned, with no set schedule in place.
