- Ben UFO has mixed Fabriclive 67, due for release in January. Behind the scenes, Ben UFO is one of the three minds behind the critically acclaimed Hessle Audio label, along with Pangaea and Pearson Sound, but it's his DJing that's made him a cult favorite over the past two years. In clubs and on Hessle's Rinse FM show, the young English jock woos audiences with his exceptionally eclectic arsenal of records and hands-on, garage-style approach to mixing. Fabriclive 67 is his second commercial mix, after his Rinse compilation from last year. It shows his trademark style in full effect, with weird new tracks (Mix Mup, Kyle Hall and Kero), old classics (Mr. Fingers) and plenty of selections from the Hessle Audio family (Elgato, Pangaea, Pearson Sound, Bandshell). "A release like this seems like a good opportunity to contextualise music for people at a time where information is spread pretty chaotically," he says. "This mix is hopefully a good representation of how the music we release relates to the music we play in clubs." The launch party for Fabriclive 67 will happen on Friday, January 11th. Ben UFO will play Room One with Pangaea, Optimo, MMM and Call Super, while Kuedo, Peverelist and Joe are among the artists booked throughout the rest of the club. Tracklist 01. Mix Mup - Dub 02.
