NYE 2012 clubbing guide: Mexico

- The Mexican state of Quintana Roo, with its coastal hotspots Cancún and Playa Del Carmen, is a year-round destination for clubbers seeking some fun in the sun. As usual, it's the place to be in Mexico come December 31st. Blue Venado will once again be home to one of the area's most highly anticipated parties: Flying Circus. French trio dOP and Visionquest member Lee Curtiss will both play live, and DJ sets will come from Philipp Jung (of M.A.N.D.Y.), Audiofly, Blond:ish and Hot Since 82. Be sure to rest up for that one, as the party will keep going until 4:00 PM on Tuesday the 1st. Tickets are available here on RA. At nearby Coco Maya, Footloose will host their own extended NYE bash. Wagon Repair co-founder Konrad Black headlines, and Berlin's Mobilee imprint is well-represented by Sebo K, Rodriguez Jr and label boss Anja Schneider. Other highlights include Inxec, Chaim and Climbers. Elsewhere, seasoned UK selector Nick Warren will headline ME Cancún's NYE celebration, while Italian minimal techno artist Uto Karem plays Selected New Year Fest, happening somewhere in Playa Del Carmen. Last but not least, Argentinian progressive house maestro Hernan Cattaneo will close out 2012 at Blue Parrot.
