Mike Huckaby hits Brooklyn

- Detroit favorite Mike Huckaby will headline the next Discovery night at Glasslands Gallery in Brooklyn on Saturday, January 12th. Huckaby is widely respected as a producer, with records out this year on his own label S Y N T H and Berlin institution Tresor, and as an educator—along with his teaching position at YouthVille Detroit, he recently shared his skills at a workshop in Barcelona. Needless to say, he's also well known as a seasoned selector who favors the deeper side of house and techno. In Brooklyn, he's on the bill with Jay Simon, a Washington DC-area DJ and producer affiliated with Kyle Hall's Wild Oats label (he also runs his own imprint, Must Have Records). Local support for the two out-of-towners will come from Discovery residents Free Magic and Faso. Tickets to the party are available here on RA.
