  • Hotflush Recordings is launching a series of label nights at Berlin's famed Panorama Bar on Saturday, April 6th. The Berlin by-way-of London imprint started by Scuba (AKA Paul Rose) in 2003 has had a presence at Berghain since 2008, when he and partner Paul Spymania launched SUB:STANCE. The quarterly parties would take over both the club's main floor and the upstairs Panorama Bar space from Friday night into Saturday, with dubstep and its myriad mutations providing the soundtrack. When the duo announced they'd throw their final SUB:STANCE this summer, it was unclear whether Hotflush would still have a regular presence at the club. Given Rose and the label's shift away from bass music, a new series of nights in what's widely considered to be one of the world's best house clubs seems like a natural evolution. And this first Hotflush Nacht will keep it in the family. Scuba will be joined on the night by George FitzGerald and Locked Groove, two staples of the Hotflush roster of late. Berlin's Recondite, who's traded remixes with Scuba over the last year, will be on hand for a live set, with Hotflush label manager Jack Haighton rounding out the bill.
