  • Veteran Dutch artist and 4lux label head Gerd will play two DJ gigs in the US next month. Gert-Jan Bijl has used countless aliases to build an extensive (and hard to track) discography over the past two decades. Gerd is generally his go-to moniker, but you might also know him as Geeeman, Literon, NY Stomp and Sensurreal, to name a few. While he's covered a broad range of styles with his hardware-heavy productions, as a touring DJ Gerd has a soft spot for the more soulful side of house music. This brief stateside visit will see him first play Public Works in San Francisco on Friday, April 12th, after which he'll spend a Saturday night in Brooklyn, headlining Discovery at Glasslands Gallery. There will be no other US appearances for now, as he'll then resume gigging in Europe and get ready to release a collaborative EP with Alden Tyrell on 4lux. Tickets to see Gerd in Brooklyn are available here on RA.
