- The Chicago producer will release his fourth album in April.
Chrissy Murderbot will release his latest album, Greatest Hits ?????, on April 20th.
Though he's now known for his experiments with footwork (as seen on 2011's Women's Studies), the Chicago producer has operated broadly across the spectrum of dance music. In his early days he made and played ragga jungle, but his knowledge stretched far beyond that genre: on his "my year of mixtapes" blog in 2009 he compiled over 30 mixes highlighting different subgenres and niche dance sounds.
Despite the title, Greatest Hits ????? is not a collection of his best material. Instead, he says "it's a CD of brand new tracks, so of course I called it Greatest Hits. Then I added five little emoji stars to the title because I think it's funny.". The LP consists of seven new tracks (which reportedly represent "the future of bass music") with the same uptempo jitters of his recent work, accompanied by seven remixes from the likes of Cardopusher and Star Slinger. The record will see release through Japanese label Murder Channel.
