- Raster-Noton will release the Japanese experimentalist's next LP in May.
Japanese artist AOKI Takamasa's next album, RV8, will come out next month.
Takamasa is a longtime purveyor of experimental electronics, though he's been relatively quiet on the production front in recent years. RV8 is his eighth solo album, and his first since 2008's Private Party. It marks his full-length debut on the acclaimed German label Raster-Noton, which put out his Rn-Rhythm-Variations EP back in 2009. A follow-up to that record, RV8 sees Takamasa continuing to refine his playfully funky, glitch-laden style across eight sequentially named tracks. It'll be made available on CD and a six-track vinyl LP.
