  • Thundercat will head to Australia for the first time in June to play three shows. With his second album, Apocalypse, due out this July on Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder imprint, Stephen Bruner's Thundercat project is thriving after a lengthy career as a vocalist and bassist for groups like Suicidal Tendencies and Infectious Grooves. Making his first trip down to Australia, along with band members Thomas Prigden (of The Mars Volta) and Dennis Hamm, the LA artist will first appear as part of the Melbourne International Jazz Festival's diverse programme, performing at The Forum Theatre on June 7th alongside local genre-bending musician Hiatus Kaiyote. The following night, Bruner heads to Perth for an 8 PM show at The Bakery with Cosmo Gets and Ben Taaffe in support, before making his way up to Sydney on June 9th for a set at the Oxford Art Factory, again with Hiatus Kaiyote.
