  • Shapednoise will release a new 12-inch, Until Human Voices Wake Us, in August. The release not only marks the Italian-raised, Berlin-based artist's first appearance on Opal Tapes, but also the former Label Of The Month's first proper venture into the world of wax. Two of the imprint's cassette releases were previously pressed into vinyl by Boomkat Editions, and two other tapes were made into vinyl releases by Opal itself, but Shapednoise's is the first made exclusively for the medium. Until Human Voices Wake Us is not quite the move into dance floor territory that a 12-inch release would seem to suggest, however. The six tracks on the record are coated in the same abrasive noise tendencies that define the producer's past work, both as Shapednoise and as one half of Violetshaped. As Juno Plus note, you can listen to "Information On The Individual Sensoriality" over at the Opal Tapes SoundCloud page. The release comes just after the release of Opal's sixth batch of tapes, which includes long-players from Rejections and Ñaka Ñaka. Tracklist A1. Witness Of An Heart Attack Death A2. Between Hallucinations And High Poetry A3. Until Human Voices Wake Us B1. Information On The Individual Sensoriality B2. Survival Of The Dead B3. Black Cells Opal Tapes will release Until Human Voices Wake Us in early August 2013.
