- In honor of its 100th release, Gilles Peterson's label is releasing a compilation of remixes from the likes of Joy Orbison and Machinedrum.
Brownswood Recordings will celebrate its 100th release with a compilation of remixes this August.
The package features one brand-new remix—Mala & Simbad have teamed up to rework the former producer's "Noches Sueños," a track from last year's Mala In Cuba full-length. Otherwise, the collection is something like a greatest-hits of Brownswood's remix commissions over the years. Joy Orbison, SBTRKT, Machinedrum and Yoruba Soul (AKA Osunlade) are among the remixers included, taking on tunes from the likes of Gang Colours, Ghostpoet and José James.
