Veronica Vasicka and Juan Mendez play Minimal Wave Fête in San Francisco

- Minimal Wave Fête will take place in San Francisco this weekend. The two-part event, hosted by (and at) The Lab in collaboration with Veronica Vasicka's Minimal Wave imprint, is billed as an audio-visual celebration of "the different facets of the minimal synth and minimal electronics movement." The "A Side" of the event, on Saturday night, will feature DJ appearances from Vasicka herself along with Juan Mendez (AKA Silent Servant), Dark Entries boss Josh Cheon, Alessandro Adriana and Justin Anastasi. Completing that music lineup is Streetwalker, the Chicago duo of Beau Wanzer and Elon Katz, who will play live. On Sunday afternoon's "B Side," a DJ set from Holly Herndon and Mathew Dryhurst tops the bill. Wanzer and Katz will be back to take turns on the decks, and more DJ selections will come from Brian Hock, Nihar Bhatt, Rachel Aiello and Kerri Lebon.
