- The Dirtybird chief will release his third album in September.
Claude VonStroke will release his third album, Urban Animal, on September 17th.
According to a press release, "urban animals" are those who "congregate in heaving warehouses, seeking solace in the liberating beats of the kick drum." The album marks the 100th release on Dirtybird, the label VonStroke founded back in 2005. It contains some collaborations—DJ Nehpets, Mr. Fox and Py all guest—and touches on elements of juke and drum & bass as well as VonStroke's signature brand of bass-heavy house.
The San Francisco producer has previously released two LPs: 2006's Beware Of The Bird and 2009's Bird Brain. For an idea of what the record will sound like, head over to Dirtybird's SoundCloud page where you can listen to previews of "Can't Wait" and "The Clapping Track."
