- TV Lounge will host the Detroit promoter's free anniversary celebration next Saturday.
Leading Detroit promotions company Paxahau will throw a 15th anniversary event next Saturday.
These days, Paxahau might be best known as the producers of Detroit's acclaimed Memorial Day weekend festival, Movement. But they're active throughout the year, throwing parties around the city that feature a who's-who of local and global electronic music talent. Butch, Dewalta and Greg Wilson count among their post-Movement bookings so far this summer. (And Paxahau will help host a Movement stage in collaboration with Ghostly International at Laneway Festival Detroit in mid-September.) To celebrate a decade and a half of operation, Paxahau will head to one of its go-to venues, TV Lounge, for a night featuring two Detroit natives: prolific house artist Marc 'MK' Kinchen, and Visionquest favorite Shaun Reeves. The party, which will have free admission, runs from 9 PM to 2 AM.
