- Dominick Fernow's first official full-length will see release in October through his own Hospital Productions label.
Vatican Shadow will release an album called Remember Your Black Day on October 21st.
The record is being billed as Dominick Fernow's first "proper" full-length of new music as Vatican Shadow, following a slew of cassette and vinyl-only releases and reissues. In keeping with the Vatican Shadow concept, Remember Your Black Day is politically-charged, with track titles like "Tonight Saddam Walks Amidst Ruins," "Muscle Hijacker Tribal Affiliation" and "Contractor Corpses Hung Over The Euphrates River."
According to a press release, it continues "an evolutionary shift away from the complex, collage-based narrative of those cassette releases into more visibly direct contact with the listener." The album will be released through Fernow's own Hospital Productions on vinyl, CD and digital formats. It features production by Juan Mendez, AKA Silent Servant, who released his own debut album via Hospital in 2012. A follow-up EP of additional material and extended mixes called When You Are Crawling will follow later in the year.
The next Hospital LP will be a debut album from L.I.E.S. chief Ron Morelli, though full details on that one are still TBA.
