  • Sonic Groove's next record will feature a reissue of "Scattered Thoughts," a twenty year-old track from Separate Minds. Produced by Scan 7's Lou Robinson and Vernell Shelton under the Separate Minds alias, "Scattered Thoughts" originally appeared on the now very rare Troubled World EP, released in 1993 through the Detroit artists' own Direct Hit imprint. Blurring the lines between tough techno and atmospheric electro, it should fit right in on Sonic Groove, which aims "to breathe new life into this masterpiece of a song," according to the label's website. The freshly remastered track will be backed by another rarity: a remix from Traversable Wormhole, AKA Sonic Groove boss Adam X. Scattered Thoughts (20 Years Revisited) will come out on vinyl on Wednesday, September 18th, with a digital version to follow about three weeks later. It's not the only record Adam Mitchell is preparing at the moment: a collaborative release with Perc under the name AX&P is due out next week as well. Berlin fans can see Mitchell in action at Tresor on September 13th, DJing as Adam X as part of a Sonic Groove label showcase also featuring Henning Baer and Realmz, who recently dropped a record on his own new imprint.
