  • Bristol collective Young Echo are starting a new monthly party called Young Echo Sound. Until now the only way to hear the eight-strong outfit's varied take on bass, dub, and experimental music has been through their irregular radio show and the odd group DJ gig. But as Tape Echo reveal, next month they'll start a new party at The Exchange, a new venue founded by the owners of the recently-shuttered Croft. The event will take place on the first Wednesday of every month, beginning on October 2nd. According to Tape Echo, the night will serve as a "testing ground for dubplates and new verses" and sees the Young Echo crew DJ alongside local and international guests. Featuring Kahn, Neek, El Kid and Vessel among its number, Young Echo released their debut album, Nexus, earlier this year on Ramp.
