- The Chicago footwork DJ has pulled the plug on his upcoming dates as a result of injuries due to a car accident.
DJ Rashad has cancelled his next European tour.
According to Mixmag, Rashad was in a car accident in the US on September 19th, suffering injuries to his ribs and hip. The Chicago footwork artist was then forced to cancel some of his dates on his Hyperdub US tour (where he was replaced by production partner DJ Spinn) but after attempting to resume his itinerary "it has become too painful for him to travel and stand for long periods of time," the label said in a Facebook post.
The European dates were meant to coincide with the release of Rashad's new album, Double Cup, due out on Hyperdub on October 22nd.
