The duo otherwise known as Chris & Cosey have announced a couple of gigs in the US—their first since the '90s.
The duo of Chris Carter and Cosey Fanny Tutti are former members of Throbbing Gristle, best known for the string of dark synth-pop albums they released throughout the 1980s. They reunited last decade as Carter Tutti and have been active since, also making music as Carter Tutti Void with Factory Floor's Nik Void. These American gigs will be the two's first since 1991.
First up is an appearance at MoMA PS1's Mike Kelly exhibition in New York, where they'll perform tracks from the X-TG (a group that comprises former Throbbing Gristle members) albums on January 5th. From there, they'll head to Chicago on the 9th, where they're set to perform Chris & Cosey tracks at Metro Club alongside Outer Space and Hieroglyphic Being. Two nights later they'll return to NYC for another Chris & Cosey showcase, this time at Santos Party House, where they're joined by Excepter.
An exclusive new CD of Carter Tutti remixes of classic Chris & Cosey material will also be available at the shows.
