  • A five-track remixes record for Brazilian-born, Boston-based producer Ricardo Donoso's recent album, As Iron Sharpens Iron, One Verse Sharpens Another, is due out next month. The album, whose vinyl release was split across two records (one of which was reviewed here on RA), is the last part of a trilogy on Digitalis Recordings, following 2011's Progress Chance and 2012's Assimilating The Shadow, and the label says Iron/Verse Remixes "puts a final nail in the coffin" of the project. Reworks from Belgian experimentalist Yves De Mey and Recondite, a Berlin-based purveyor of melancholy techno and house (and the subject of a recent RA feature) are on the A-side, while the flip boasts efforts from Sri Lankan-born, UK-based producer and Subtext affiliate Paul Jebanasam, US veteran John Tejada and TM404, AKA prolific Swede Andreas Tilliander. Comprising nearly 40 minutes of music, the five-track set will come out on vinyl and digital formats. You can stream Recondite's lengthy remix of "Diagonal Environment" over at the Digitalis SoundCloud page. Tracklist A1 The Sphinx (Yves De Mey Remix) A2 Diagonal Environment (Recondite Remix) B1 Affirmation (Paul Jebanasam Remix) B2 The Redeemer (John Tejada Remix) B3 Open Drawer, Full of Masks (TM404 Remix) Digitalis Recordings will release Iron/Verse Remixes in January 2014.
