  • Container will touch down in Houston to headline a Drift event on Saturday, December 28th. The producer, who recently finished a busy month of touring in Australia and Europe and has an EP called Adhesive due out on Liberation Technologies in January, will be the first out-of-town guest at the second edition of Drift. The series is the result of a joint effort by Houston locals Nihal Ramchandani, Joshua Cordova, Jonathan Gean and Corey Cleary. There's no set frequency for the events going forward, but the organizers promise an anything-goes mentality and no restrictions when it comes to the music: "We love flowery ambient shit just as much as raucous techno or Wire." Container will play live, and supporting DJ sets will come from three residents—Cordova, Gean and Ramchandani. The show will happen at GalleryHOMELAND Houston, a studio and gallery space that's an annex of the Portland-based GalleryHOMELAND non-profit arts organization, and there will be a BYOB policy in effect, as well as an open bar while supplies last. This gig in Houston looks to be Container's last of the year. He's also booked for an RBMA event with Oval and more in Chicago on Sunday the 22nd, and then on Friday the 27th, he'll play Hotel Vegas in Austin.
