  • A fresh wave of acts have been added to the bill for this year's Movement festival in Detroit. As previously reported, the 2014 edition of Movement will take place over Memorial Day Weekend (May 24th through 26th), with Dixon, Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills and Carl Cox among the first names revealed. The second round of acts includes a nod to Detroit's electronic music heritage in Kevin Saunderson, who will present a show titled "Origins," which a press release describes as "a special showcase celebrating the originators, torchbearers and next wave creators of techno and their cross-generational influence on each other." The other additions span a wide range of styles, with Function, Marco Carola, Robert Hood, Oscar Mulero, Voices From The Lake and Daniel Bell (playing live as DBX) catering to the techno fans, while the likes of Kode9, Boys Noize, Move D, Tiga, Maceo Plex, Baauer, Flosstradamus, Michael Mayer, Andrés, Bonobo, Green Velvet, Jamie xx, Claude VonStroke, John Digweed and this week's RA podcaster Jimmy Edgar will provide everything from electro to trap to house.
