- The NYC label will launch with a split EP next month.
Cory James and Soramimi are behind a new label called Dusk Notes.
James is an NYC local, half of techno duo Point Break and one of the minds behind another young Big Apple imprint, LAG. Soramimi is a fellow New Yorker and a more experimentally-inclined producer—check out a slew of tracks available on her SoundCloud page to get a good idea. The two are teaming up for Dusk Notes, which in their own words will "focus on the specral and the subconscious" and "communicate to both the dance and the introspective listener." The first EP, a six-tracker with contributions from both founders, sees them explore their more reflective and atmospheric sides. The record will see release on April 8th.
