  • Thug Entrancer will play in his hometown of Denver on May 10th. Ryan McRyhew started up his latest project when he moved to Chicago for a period starting in 2011. Inspired by the city's rich musical legacy, particularly house and juke, its influences bled through to the debut Thug Entrancer album Death After Life, which landed two months ago on Software and explored the darker side of the city's history. But aside from a party in the Windy City around the record's release and a Boiler Room set, he hasn't done many live appearances to promote it, which makes this hometown gig all the more notable. A true gear nerd, McRyhew will headline the Waves party with a live set. He'll be backed by a set of locals including another live performance, from Lone Dancer, as well as DJ turns from JsCREW and Jak Turbo. The show is happening at a secret underground location, and you can call 758-408-RAVE for more info.
