  • Basic House's Opal Tapes have dropped a new compilation this week. Cambiare follows 2012's Cold Holiday and last year's No Lotion, all of which have featured new tracks from the label's growing roster in the midst of an already prolific schedule (the Teesside-based imprint has racked up over 40 releases in two years). This one shows off some of Opal's newer signings—Yves De Mey, Karen Gwyer, Worker/Parasite and Alis all feature, as well as longtime associates like BAT (Best Available Technology) and HOLOVR. In typical fashion, Cambiare runs the gamut from techno to noise and ambient, and the experimental breeding grounds in between. The digital-only LP is available on the Opal Tapes BandCamp page. They also recently announced the next instalment in their Black Opal vinyl series, which will come from Cloudface. Tracklist 01. Body Boys – Monastery 02. BAT – Old Mice 03. WOMB – Hard Lines 04.
