- One living New York disco legend will celebrate what would have been the birthday of another in Tokyo next month.
Nicky Siano will play a Larry Levan tribute show at House Of Liquid in Tokyo next month.
The night will be a joint birthday party of sorts: the popular club will be celebrating its 10th anniversary with a series of events in July, and the tribute event on July 20th lands on what would have been Levan's 60th. Fittingly it'll be Siano, another New York disco pioneer who mentored the Paradise Garage resident, headlining the night. Local veterans DJ Nori, Moodman and Mr. TT will also play in the main room.
Love Is The Message, Siano's recently released film documenting a night in 1977 at his famed club The Gallery, will be screening on the second floor of the venue. The party kicks off at 11 PM.
