Mathew Jonson, The Mole and Peter Van Hoesen are among those tasked with reworking the German producer's latest LP.
The German producer released his second album for the Berlin label earlier this year. With Freund in straight dance floor mode, RA's Tony Naylor described the record as "big techno: widescreen and 3D, clean and pure," and like most full-lengths on Ostgut Ton, it's getting the remix treatment—this time in the form of a three-track 12-inch.
Fellow Berlin luminaries Mathew Jonson and The Mole team up for a funky rework of "If," Belgian techno producer Peter Van Hoesen takes on the more downcast CD-only track "Cursor Item Only" and newcomer Blue Hour—formerly known as Furesshu—handles "He Said." Check out a new video for "Statik," a track taken from the album's accompanying limited edition seven-inch, below.
A1 If (Mathew Jonson & The Mole Remix)
B1 Cursor Item Only (Peter Van Hoesen Remix)
B2 He Said (Blue Hour Remix)
Ostgut Ton will release Remixes on July 28th, 2014.
