Richie Hawtin, Underground Resistance and Laurent Garnier will also play the three-day Portuguese festival in August.
Started in 2006, the Portuguese festival is considered the nation's leading electronic weekender. Every year, a mix of house and techno titans, second-tier acts and underground favourites are invited to perform at a fort in the small coastal city of Viana do Castelo. Laurent Garnier tops the bill on Thursday, alongside John Digweed, Pan Pot and Josh Wink. Underground Resistance will also perform live, presenting their Timeline project in conjunction with RBMA.
Friday is house and techno all the way, with Richie Hawtin and Jeff Mills joined by Recondite, Ø [Phase] and Vakula, while Saturday hosts the stadium dance of Carl Cox, as well as sets from Nina Kraviz, Uner and Tale Of Us. The action will be staggered in three separate slots across the weekend, running from 4 PM through 9 AM on Thursday, 9 PM through 9 AM on Friday and 10 PM through midday on Saturday.
