- The Chestplate label head will play on the venue's "brand new house system" later this month.
Williamsburg venue TBA Brooklyn will host the Croydon-based dubstep originator Distance on Friday, July 25th as part of a larger US tour beginning this week.
Distance manages the Chestplate imprint, which has released dark, meditative bass music from the likes of Tunnidge, Cyrus and Mesck. He's also recorded two albums for Planet Mu, appeared on other seminal labels like Tectonic and Hotflush and mixed an installment of the Dubstep Allstars series back in 2011.
For his NYC gig, he will be playing on TBA Brooklyn’s “brand new house system,” say the Planet Cognac promoters, and he will be supported by NYC locals Max Mischief, Space Jesus, and Subset. While in the US, he will also appear at Beta Club in Denver July 18th, Gritsy's eight-year anniversary party in Houston, Texas on July 19th, Dragon's Den in New Orleans July 20th, the Air Conditioned Lounge in San Diego July 21st, Beauty Bar in Las Vegas July 22nd, and Barfly in Minneapolis July 24th.
Tickets for both his New York and Texas shows are available on RA.
