  • Patricia has confirmed two Midwest gigs over the next few days. Patricia is actually from Chicago, but currently lives in Brooklyn. A couple months ago he teamed up with Jahiliyya Fields under the name Inhalants to put out a record on L.I.E.S., and he's involved in a few other collaborations as well. But he's probably best known on his own for the six-track cassette Body Issues, which dropped on Opal Tapes last summer and was then given a vinyl release on the label's Black Opal offshoot. These gigs are the first for Patricia in the Midwest, and he'll be performing his gritty, hazy, acid-tinged house and techno live with an all-hardware setup. This Thursday, he'll headline a party at Dragonfly in Madison. Hosting that one is the locally based Golden Donna, who's appeared on labels like 100% Silk and Not Not Fun Records—it'll be his last gig in Madison before he heads out on tour—and Sweet William and Madden complete the lineup. On Sunday, Patricia will head to Chicago to play a Body Talk party, called Freeing The Body, at The Burlington. Four other live acts will be on hand: CGI_Records artists TWINS and Afterburner, along with Drowned and Chemtrails. Beau Wanzer, who recently turned in an EP on Nation, and resident John Dahmer will play front-room DJ sets. Following his Midwest visit, Patricia's next few shows will be back in Brooklyn, though further details are still TBA. He's also billed at the new festival Sustain-Release in Wurtsboro, New York. You can hear more from him through his often-updated SoundCloud page, which has this relatively new jam, "Tough Guise."
