- Sinnbus will release the German band's debut album in September.
The/Das will drop their first album on September 2nd.
Anton Feist and Fabian Fenk, formerly of Bodi Bill, started up The/Das back in 2012, when they debuted with a split EP on Life And Death (paired with a then-rising Tale Of Us). Since then, they've had another release on that Italian label and a handful on German imprint Sinnbus, the latter of which will handle Freezer. They also run their own Krakatau Records.
For the first The/Das full-length, the duo are joined by some of the musicians who help with their live sets, including Apparat percussionist Jörg Wähner and Thomalla, with Fenk on vocal duty as usual. The label describes the album as a mix of "moody techno and playful pop" with both real and sampled percussion. Singer Pirjo Marx guests on "Receiver."
