- The new Bristol techno label is a joint endeavour from Joe Farr, Patrick Bolton, Damien Schneider and Curnock.
The first record from Bristol imprint Onnset will land on September 15th.
Onnset is a group effort from JoeFarr—a UK techno producer whom you might recognize from a recent string of records on Turbo, Power Vacuum and Hype LTD—along with friends Patrick Bolton, Damien Schneider and Jamie Curnock. The latter is responsible for Transportation, the label's first release, which also doubles as his own solo debut (and features a remix from Truss). It lands on the more abrasive side of the techno spectrum, nicely outlining what the crew themselves describe as an experimentally-minded and open-ended outlook on the genre. There's no word yet on what future releases hold, but Onnset promise music from "their most respected peers."
