The cozy Brooklyn hangout will host D'Marc Cantu, Trinidadian Deep and more this month.
Bossa Nova Civic Club has shared its September schedule, which includes sets from Trinidadian Deep, D'Marc Cantu and Shannon Funchess of Light Asylum.
The small house and techno hangout in Bushwick will close out the summer with a schedule that explores the more eccentric end of machine music. They'll kick off the month with the Down By Low party on Thursday, September 4th, serving soulful house grooves courtesy of Toronto’s Trinidadian Deep. DJ Spider will take the controls at Tunnel Vision on Friday, September 5th, backed by resident Lori Napoleon. Jack Department will take place the following night featuring DJ sets from L.I.E.S affiliate Voiski and longtime Bossa resident Volvox.
Bossa will host a DJ set from members of the audio/visual quartet DUST (founded by Bossa's own booking manager, John Barclay) on Thursday the 11th. September 19th and 20th will see a two-night run of Discwoman, which highlights female DJs from the local scene: Shannon Funchess of Light Asylum, Lauren Flax, L. Sangre and more. Soul 2 Seoul and friends will take over on Thursday the 25th, followed by a Loveless Records Showcase on the 26th.
Industry of Machines will go down on September 27th with live experimental electronics from D'Marc Cantu, plus DJs Shawn O'Sullivan and JM de Frias representing New York's own Sequencias imprint.
