They'll play six gigs across the continent over these next two weeks.
Dense & Pika are about to embark on their debut North American tour.
The London-based duo of Chris Spero, AKA Glimpse, and Hypercolour co-founder Alex Jones have put out a run of toughened-up techno records on their own Dense & Pika imprint as well as Hotflush Recordings since first surfacing (in anonymous fashion) back in 2011. Now the time has come for their first set of North American gigs, with six confirmed across the continent for the rest of the month.
First are two Canada appearances, by way of St. Catharines this Wednesday and Montreal this Thursday (the Montreal party also serves as a showcase for the local Citizogic label), followed by Brooklyn on Saturday, where the duo are billed at Verboten's Cabaret Room along with Sei A. Then, next Thursday, Dense & Pika will play Chicago's Smart Bar, and on Friday they'll swing through Seattle for Decibel Festival—that particular event will also feature Gui Boratto (he replaces Hotflush head Scuba, who's had to cancel gigs recently because of health issues) and Hotflush affiliate South London Ordnance. The duo will then wind down the tour with a stop at Rioma in Mexico City next Saturday the 27th.
Tickets to see Dense & Pika in Brooklyn and Chicago are available on RA.
