AudioPocket is currently the only way to move beyond the 100 presets that ship with the forthcoming sampler.
When we reported on the fourth box in the Japanese company's Volca series, we mentioned that it would take samples by way of an iOS app, but at the time there weren't any further details available. AudioPocket, previewed late last week by way of a video on Korg's YouTube channel (it's posted below), is the app in question. It allows you to record samples by way of an iPhone, iPod or iPad, which can then be trimmed and normalized within the app. You can also import samples from your computer by dragging-and-dropping them through iTunes. At present, the app is only available for portable Apple products, meaning you'll need one if you want to use more than the 100 preloaded samples that come with the Volca Sample. There's still no official word on when the box is set to ship.
AudioPocket is coming soon from Korg.
