Liberation Technologies is set to release an LP from Norwegian producer TCF, called 415C47197F78E811FEEB7862288306EC4137FD4EC3DED8B, on November 17th.
The Mute Records sub-label, whose catalogue criss-crosses techno, noise and abstract electronics, is preparing to release a seven-track album from TCF, aka Lars Holdus. Holdus, who is also known for his now-defunct Cracksmurf project, says the record is a conceptual work that is meant to be unlocked cryptographically based on clues hidden in both the titles and audio.
“There's a system built around TCF which is not really described to anyone,” he explained in a recent interview with The Fader. “These tracks, they go over long periods of time, so it's not like I composed a track because I feel like that this day. It's more like it's needed for the system to function." You can stream the third tune from the LP below.
