  • Nina Kraviz has revealed full details of the first record on her new label, ????. As revealed back in May, ????, pronounced "trip," will focus on the "trippier, acidic side of electronic music." Due out December 8th, the debut release, The Deviant Octopus, is a compilation double-vinyl EP. It features two Kraviz tunes—"Prozimokampleme" and "IMPRV"—alongside a pair of productions from Terrence Dixon as Population One, plus one track apiece from a mix of veterans (Exos, Steve Stoll) and newcomers (Bjarki, Parrish Smith). The tracks are new and unreleased, with one exception: "Nuclear Red Guard" by Exos originally came out on Plast Trax in 1998. All eight are woven into Kraviz's recently announced DJ-Kicks mix for !K7 Records, which arrives on January 26th. Listen to samples of The Deviant Octopus below.
