  • Rio Music Conference 2015 will take place at Pestana Rio Atlântica Hotel from February 4th through 6th. South America's largest dance music convention is approaching its seventh edition, with a long weekend of talks, workshops and panels planned. Speakers this year include Peter Hook (Joy Division, New Order), Nick DeCosemo (Mixmag), Vivien Lewit (YouTube), Bill Kelly (WMC), Martin Gontad (Creamfields Buenos Aires), Craig Pettigrew (BPM), Ben Turner (Graphite Media, Richie Hawtin), Richard Zijlma (ADE), Gui Boratto and D-Edge owner and producer Renato Ratier. Among the topics for discussion is KUVO, Pioneer's new ID-system for nightclubs. From February 4th through 17th, Rio's clubs will open themselves up for two weeks of parties, with discounts offered to delegates. The final five days of the conference (13th-17th) are reserved for the RMC festival, which has been rebranded Rio Music Carnival for 2015. A handful of commercial acts will perform, with Tiësto among them.
