  • Dasha Rush will play two US gigs this weekend. A Russian artist and the mind behind the Fullpanda imprint, Rush has been producing deep, moody techno and abstract pop for about a decade now. She's only played a handful of gigs in North America (mostly in New York), and this weekend's excursion comes amidst preparations for her new album, Sleepstep, which will be released through Raster-Noton. First Rush will make her Chicago debut on Friday at Smart Bar for Oktave with a DJ set. (The club will be re-opening this week after some renovation work.) Then on Saturday, she'll make another trip to Brooklyn, this time for The Bunker's three-room bash at Output, where Jeff Mills is headlining. Rush will play live at this one, and tickets to the party are still available here on RA. You can get ready for the weekend with this new experimental set Rush performed earlier this week on the Studio R° internet TV station. And while we await more details about Sleepstep, you can tune into a teaser video for the album below.
