  • Reeko is readying a double-vinyl concept release titled La Metamorfosis. The Spanish artist, AKA Architectural and real name Juan Rico, has a dark and well-honed take on techno. RA reviewer Tony Naylor praised his 2013 Reeko w/Architectural LP The Blue Album, calling it "highly evocative and free of cliché." For his latest effort, Rico has certainly found an intriguing source of inspiration. He'll be offering his own musical "reinterpretation" of The Metamorphosis (original German title: Die Verwandlung), Franz Kafka's seminal 1915 novel, which tells the story of a man who finds himself transformed into a large bug-like creature. La Metamorfosis is comprised of seven total productions, an introductory title track followed by six otherwise unnamed "Capítulos" (chapters). Released through Rico's own label Mental Disorder, it will be split across two records, and also come in digital formats. Part 1 will arrive in early March (that's its artwork at right) and Part 2, the 20th Mental Disorder release, is due out in April. Tracklist La Metamorfosis Part 1 A1 La Metamorfosis A2 Capítulo 1 B1 Capítulo 2 B2 Capítulo 3 La Metamorfosis Part 2 A Capítulo 4 B1 Capítulo 5 B2 Capítulo 6 Mental Disorder will release La Metamorfosis Part 1 and Part 2 on March 2nd, 2015 and April 6th, 2015, respectively.
