- Comet Plan, featuring appearances from Francesco Tristano and JAW, is due out in May.
Swiss minimal house and techno producer Mirko Loko is set to return to Cadenza Records in May with a new album called Comet Plan.
Comet Plan will be Loko's second album, and another one for Luciano's label, following the 2009 LP Seventynine. Loko has been mostly quiet on the new release front over the past few years, and this LP might be the reason why: according to a press release, it "was conceived in Berlin and later birthed in his hometown of Lausanne, after a two-year gestation period."
Loko himself describes it as "un voyage entre toute mes influences" ("travel between all my influences"), and he's brought on board a couple collaborators: dOP vocalist JAW features on two tracks, while pianist and composer Francesco Tristano contributes to one.
Ahead of Comet Plan's May release, Cadenza will issue album cut "Kolor" on an EP that also boasts a two-part remix from Detroit veteran Carl Craig.
