- Om Unit, Basic Soul Unit and Grenier are among other highlights for the BC festival, which now happens in July.
- Bass Coast 2015 will take place in BC's Nicola Valley from July 10th through 13th. The annual summer gathering—now in its 7th year—always happened on the August long weekend in the past, but this year they've moved up a few weeks in the calendar to early July. It'll take over the same site as the past few editions, near Merritt, with four custom-built stages featuring audio rigs by PK Sound. As usual, the festival has an emphasis on intimate crowds and community, so tickets will be limited to just 3000. 2015's lineup holds a number of Bass Coast alumni and staples—among them Justin Martin, Grenier and EPROM (and their collaborative project Sister City). Kris Wadsworth, Om Unit, Sam Binga, Detroit Swindle, J.Phlip, Basic Soul Unit and J:Kenzo make up some of the other headliners. And, as ever, there's a healthy helping of local Western Canadian talent too. Sabota, Ekali, Neighbour, Longwalkshortdock and Mat The Alien are all billed, along with honourary Vancouverite Danny Corn. You can watch a video for the lineup release below.
