  • JUE Festival has announced full details of this year's edition, taking place across various venues in Beijing and Shanghai from March 12th through 22nd. JUE, which translates from Chinese as "to sense," was founded in 2009 with the aim of uniting the creative communities of China's two largest cities. The action will be split between 40 venues, with a broad range of nations, sounds and styles represented, ranging from Japanese metal (Boris) and US hip-hop (Jay Electronica) to Korean indie (Yozoh), French avant pop (Emilie Simon), obscure African music (Awesome Tapes From Africa) and a raft of local bands and DJs. A handful of international electronic acts will also perform: Logos + Forma go head-to-head at The Shelter in Shanghai on the 13th and Beijing's Dada on the 14th, Swindle plays The Shelter on the 20th and Manga joins The Bug at The Shelter on Saturday the 21st. In addition to the music, there will be talks, installations and film screenings. For the programme in full, head over to JUE's official website. Watch a trailer below.
